This weekend, our Infobest crew embraced their inner adventurers at the Team’s Outdoor Race (TOR) 2024, continuing a tradition we’ve been having since 2012. Picture this: it’s a sunny Saturday, and our team—the Infobeasts—is gearing up for a full day of outdoor craziness, laughter, and just a touch of “what have we gotten ourselves into?” Spoiler alert: It was every bit as epic as it sounds!
From Sunrise to Sunset: TOR 2024 in Full Swing
The action kicked off at 7 AM sharp, and from that moment, it was game on. Our Infobeasts were all set to dive into the day’s craziness, from tackling tricky obstacles to cheering each other on. We powered through the challenges, with our eyes set on finishing in the top half. By 7 PM, after a day of intense fun and competition, we could proudly say we nailed it!
Crushing Goals and Smashing Challenges
Our primary objective was to finish in the top half of the standings, and let’s just say—we smashed it! Under the guidance of our fearless team captain, the Infobeasts tackled each challenge with unwavering focus and enthusiasm. Every obstacle, from tough climbs to creative problem-solving tasks, was met with a “we’ve got this!” attitude. Whether it was scaling rocky heights or strategizing through complex puzzles, we brought our A-game, making sure the whole team was involved and motivated.
One of the most unforgettable challenges was the “Human Square Plank.” Picture this: we formed a human square, with everyone balancing on each other’s backs and hands on the ground. It was all about trust and leaning on each other—literally!
Then came the challenge where we had to navigate through trees while blindfolded. The twist? We had to hold hands the whole time, hunting for trees with necklaces to collect. It was like a real-life treasure hunt, and we were all laughing as we stumbled around, trying to find our way. These challenges were not just about testing our skills, but also about having a blast and proving that with a bit of trust and a lot of laughs, we can tackle anything!
Conquering Fears and Finding New Favorites
TOR is famous for pushing us to face our fears, and this year was no different. One of our teammates had to tackle a long-standing fear of heights. Let’s just say there were a few “gulp” moments, but with the support of the team, he faced those fears head-on and came out victorious. It was a powerful reminder of the strength we have when we come together. Plus, we all discovered new interests—like climbing! What was once a daunting task has now become a newfound passion for some of us.
Best Moment Ever: Ice-Cold Water Shenanigans
One of the highlights of the day? A challenge that involved taking a plunge into ice-cold water. Yep, you heard that right—ice-cold! We squealed, laughed, and somehow managed to complete the task while our feet went numb. It was a refreshing (and hilarious) way to cool off and made for some great stories!
The Perfect Playground: Cheile Gârliștei
TOR 2024 took us to Cheile Gârliștei near Carașova, a place that was as wild as it was beautiful. With its rugged landscapes and local cultural vibes, the setting was perfect for our adventures. We tackled four challenge zones, each with its own set of quirky and exciting tasks. From scaling heights to aiming with archery and figuring out how to transport water blindfolded, every challenge was a new chance to have fun and bond as a team.
